I've been wanting a tattoo since I can remember, but like most people, I'm very picky about what I want on my body for the rest of my life and just put the thought of a tattoo to the side for many years.
When I saw Faith's tattoo from Mirror's Edge, I instantly loved it! I loved the industrial style and symbolism it held. Even if you've never heard of the game, the design itself is simply amazing and definately unique.
After I "painted" the tattoo on my arm for my Faith cosplay, I thought it suited me perfectly and knew it was the tattoo for me. ^_^ Well after a year of putting it off, last night I went to a tattoo shop for an estimate and couldn't resist getting it the same day.
After 4 hours of minor pain and irritation, I felt like it was a piece of me that was missing. It seemed like it was always meant to be there! I suppose most people that aren't drunk feel the same way about their first tattoos.
In short, I absolutely love my tattoo! ^_^
Here's a pic of the freshly completed tattoo still at the tattoo shop

Watch out for yourself. Protect those you love. Take what is offered to you if you need it and return the offers when you are able. Life's too short not to live it to it's fullest. Never be afraid to take your chances.

I have to say, when I was looking for a model for inspiration, I hadn't anticipated on finding someone quite as talented as you are, especially amongst the tons of stock photography... you're photos weren't just a reference like something else would have been, there's so much character I've drawn from just what I've seen. Suffice it to say, there's much more to those photographs than just someone posing for the camera like so many others.
Thanks again.
